All-Optical Sampling Utilising Two-Photon Absorption in a Semiconductor Micro-Cavity

Abstract : A highly-efficient optical sampling system based on two-photon absorption in a semiconductor microcavity is presented. The sensitivity of the sampling system is calculated to be 0.1 mW/sup 2/ with a temporal resolution of 2 ps.
