The Instrumentation design and Characterisation (I2C) is placed under the LAAS Director responsibility. It provides a technical support for the research projects and for all equipment, network & computer system, for the whole laboratory.

Missions

• Support the research projects

It is defined each year by a committee chaired by LAAS  Director. It aims at computing, instrumentation, electronics, optics, and mechanics domains.

• Equipment administration

The service manages the electronics and mechanics workshops, and also provides management and technical support for the platforms:

• Characterization platform
• Design platform
• Robots platform
• Electronics workshop
• Mechanics workshop
